The Bar & Restaurant Expo 2023 recently completed a three-day run at the Las Vegas Convention Center, showcasing the latest trends in hospitality sips and eats. Among nearly 500 exhibitors and thousands of attendees, five products and trends stood out.
One of the highlights was the Cocktail Claw, a machine that allows players to manipulate a claw to grab miniature bottles of booze. The expo also featured a Japanese pavilion with about 50 food and drink products, including plant-based steamed bao and Yoshino bottled drinks that combine different pulpy fruits with junmai sake. In addition, robots were showcased at the expo as tireless assistance for hosting, ordering, serving, and hauling, and as a general wow factor. The expo also featured plant-based seafood, such as Finless Foods' ahi conjured from winter melon and Cajun breaded shrimp from New Wave Foods.
Finally, the expo showcased veteran-made coffee and spirits, such as the robustly flavored coffee roasted over Texas mesquite and filtered more than 20 times by 22 Salute™, a company that donates a portion of its sales to The Veterans Connection™, a nonprofit focused on promoting mental health and preventing suicide among military veterans and first responders.
